New Delhi, Nov 17: Congress today warned review of its ties with the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh if it supported the CBI action of dropping the conspiracy charge against top BJP leaders including Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. "We do not know the final stand of the Samajwadi Party led government in UP. We will look at all possibilities including review of our ties with the government if we find L K Advani, M M Joshi and others have been let off the hook", party spokesman S Jaipal Reddy told reporters.
He said that Uttar Pradesh unit of the party would get the "accurate" information from the government in the matter and after that "we will take a final view at the national level. Until then we are reserving our comments".
Replying to a question, Reddy said the UP government has already removed its counsel in the Supreme Court and is going to appoint a new counsel who could file a new affidavit replacing the one defending the filing of the supplementary chargesheet by CBI in the Ayodhya case dropping the conspiracy charge against top BJP leaders.
"There is no change in our view. U p government must press the charge of communal conspiracy against Advani, Joshi and others", he said hoping that Mulayam Singh government would take steps to reverse the process.
