Bijapur (Karnataka), July 28: Karnataka Police have slapped a case against firebrand VHP leader Praveen Togadia for allegedly making an inflammatory speech at a rally here. Police today said cases had also been booked against Pramod Muthalik, VHP convenor for the south, on a similar charge and three others for publishing in Kannada a book - 'Jehadi' - written by Togadia. The Kannada version of Togadia's original book in Gujarati was released by the VHP leader at 'viraat hindu samavesh' here yesterday.
District authorities had banned the entry of Togadia into Bijapur district for seven days from July 26, but the Karnataka High Court had permitted him to address the rally on condition that he should not make any inflammatory speech. Bureau Report
