New Delhi, Oct 01: In the wake of CBI filing a case of corruption relating to tenders in two telecom PSUs, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd today said the evaluation of tender system was absolutely transparent and there was no scope of any corruption at any level. Expressing concern over reports in this regard, MTNL chairman and Managing Director Narinder Sharma said "MTNL is sorry to see such reports. We are ready to render all help and even the records to the investigating agencies to bring the guilty, if any, to book." "We are committed to being transparent in our company," Sharma told a news agency. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) also said that there was nothing relating to the company.
Our procurement procedures are very transparent and have been approved by the government and Central Vigilance Commission," BSNL Cmd Prithipal Singh said adding there was a proper mechanism for evaluating the tender and no one person was involved.

He also offered to help the agencies in their investigation.
