Mulayam orders probe into land allotment during Maya`s reign
Lucknow, Sept 04: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today ordered an inquiry into allotment of prime land at Noida and Greater Noida during the regime of his predecessor Chief Minister Mayawati, official sources here today.

Senior IAS official T George Joseph would head the
one-man inquiry committee, the sources said, adding no time
limit has been set to submit the report.
They said the inquiry committee would put under scanner all allotments made in Noida and Greater Noida made during Mayawati's reign and would also see whether contracts for construction work were awarded as per stipulated rules and regulations.
The inquiry came in the backdrop of allegation by former UP government counsel in Taj corridor case Ajay Agarwal about alleged illegal allotment of land in Noida and Greater Noida.
Yadav had on the second day of assuming office shifted chief executive officer of Noida Dr Om Prakash and gave the additional charge to the industrial development commissioner Shashank Shekhar Singh, known for his close proximity to the present chief minister. Bureau Report
