Ranchi, July 08: Stressing that it was not against Islam or liberal Muslims, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) appealed to the Parliament to give the disputed land in Ayodhya for construction of Ram Temple.
The organisation had never said that it would disobey court`s order on the temple, he pointed out, saying, ``Parliament is a big huddle in the construction of the temple. If our demand is not fulfilled we will create public opinion across the country to put pressure on Parliament to give in.``
Singhal who is here to attend two-day meeting of the organisation`s central committee meeting, said that he never wanted the issue to be politicised but it was done by political parties.
He also claimed that many MPs expressed sympathy for the VHP`s demand and he was ready to talk again with all political parties on the issue.
Asked if there the country would face communal riots in the event of the construction of the temple, the VHP leader said, ``Hindus and Muslims have to remain united in this country and we are not against Islam but against those who are sympathetic to the jehadi cause. We are prepared for a decisive war against the elements supported by Pakistan.``
Sinhgal also alleged that the Students Islamic Movement of India was trying to create `mogholstan`.
