Raipur, June 25: Continuing its pressure on the
Vajpayee government on the Ram temple issue, VHP today called upon all NDA partners to declare their stand on the issue
ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Speaking to reporters here, VHP international general
secretary Praveen Togadia today alleged "the NDA had done
nothing in the last four years despite their repeated plea for
the construction of the Ram Temple and they are behaving as if
they have nothing to do with the Hindu community".
"Since only one year is left for the Lok Sabha polls, the NDA should now decide whether they want ram or power and take a decision accordingly," he added.
Togadia also said that the parliament should enact a law for the construction of the temple as legislation was the only way to solve the issue. "All the ways to Parliament pass through Ayodhya and anyone not supporting the ram temple issue will be defeated in the next Lok Sabha polls," Togadia said.
On whether the ram temple once again be the election plank in the coming parliamentary polls, he said problems of Hindus, including Jehad, would be the issue.
"All the seats have a sizeable 'Ram Bhakts' and if they are not in a position to make someone victorious then definitely are in a position now to get them defeated," Togadia added.
