Jaipur, Nov 17: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) would soon review tariff structure for basic and mobile phone services, and introduce an "account-less-internet" service in Rajasthan soon, its chairman and Managing Director Prithipal Singh announced today. The new tariff could be lower or higher than the existing one under the guidelines of the IUC (Inter-Connectivity User charges), but it would be recommended to the Trai for approval, Singh told a press conference after inaugurating a 'Doorsanchar Bhawan' foundation stone here.

In first phase, the account-less-internet connectivity would be provided to all basic telephone users in Jaipur at the rate of 10 paise per minute within a week's time, he said, adding no service charge or deposit would be required for the customers.

An Internet scheme for students was also in the offing, and would be announced with a package, he said.

He said there would be no charges on shifting of telephone and the third party transfer of telephone.

On a question, whether the mobile services in the border districts of Rajasthan is misused for spying, he denied flatly saying it was baseless, and even then the BSNL was trying to make the release of connection a fool-proof operation after verifying customers' whereabouts in the border areas.

Mohan Lal Gumber, the chief general manger, Rajasthan Telecom Circle, said 75000 more cell phone connection in the circle would be released by March next year.
