Mumbai, May 07: Jet Airways today took delivery of its first 170-seater Boeing 737-900, becoming the South Asian operator with the largest number of next generation 737aircraft, a Boeing statement said here. The aircraft, which took off from Seattle today, is due to arrive in Delhi on Friday. This delivery makes Jet the first airline outside the US to operate the three largest models of the next generation 737 family, 737-700, 737-800 and 737-900, the statement said. A second aircraft is due for delivery in mid-July, which will replace one of its 737-400, airline officials said.
