No need for Joshi to resign: Venkaiah Naidu
New Delhi, Sept 19: BJP today said that there was no need for HRD Minister Murli Manohar Joshi to resign from government in the wake of Rae Bareili court deciding to frame charges in the Babri Masjid demolition case, saying it was a case of `political persecution`.
New Delhi, Sept 19: BJP today said that there was no need for HRD Minister Murli Manohar Joshi to resign from government in the wake of Rae Bareili court deciding to frame charges in the Babri Masjid demolition case, saying it was a case of "political persecution".
"There is no need for Joshi to resign. When he became a minister the charge was already there," party president M Venkaih Naidu told reporters shortly after the special court discharged Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani while deciding to frame charges against Joshi and six other accused.
