Lucknow, Dec 01: The cable TV operators here have called off their ten-day-old strike following an assurance from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav to look into their demands. A spokesman of the Cable TV Operators' Welfare Association said here today that a four-member delegation called on Yadav last night and later decided to call off the strike after the Chief Minister assured that their demands would be looked into. The operators had gone on strike to protest against "the tremendous financial burden due to the entertainment department's wrong policies". Bureau Report
