Kolkata, Oct 15: Metaljunction.com, a 50:50 joint venture between SAIL and Tata Steel, has recorded transactions of Rs 700 crore during the first half of the current financial year. A statement issued by the portal said transactions under the different heads of e-sales, e-sourcing and financial services recorded hefty increases as compared to the previous year.

The portal transacted Rs 320.59 crore under e-sales, Rs 104.18 crore under e-sourcing and Rs 280.01 crore under financial services.
In the previous year the portal transacted Rs 194 crore in the first half.

Metaljunction is now planning to offer international clients as 'one stop service provider' to meet their sourcing needs in India.
Under financial services, the portal arranged Rs 280.01 crore through partner banks. Bureau Report
