New Delhi, July 22: The Delhi High Court has given time till September 29 to the Centre to verify the income details of the wife of Mumbai bomb blast case accused Mohammad Dossa, presently residing in the UAE. Justice S K Mahajan, who had earlier asked Dossa's wife Abida to file an affidavit detailing her sources of income, allowed Central Government counsel Maninder Singh's request for time to verify her averment that one of her sons owned an electronic shop in the UAE.

Through her affidavit, she submitted before the court that income from her son's electronic shop was her source of sustenance.

Justice Mahajan is hearing Dossa's children's plea challenging the government decision to extend the validity of their passports only for a year and that too with certain restrictions.
On May 1, the petitioners' counsel had submitted that Abida was living in Dubai alone after separation from Dossa, prompting the court to seek income details of their mother and how she was sustaining herself in Dubai.

Dossa had fled to the UAE after the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

Dossa's son Yasin and daughters - Sana and Lubna - have challenged the government's decision to extend the validity of their passports only for a year terming it as arbitrary.
