Kathmandu, Feb 20: Maoists have abducted and forcibly recruited 13 young girls belonging to a Dalit community into their ranks besides kidnapping a deputy Mayor of a Nepalese municipality, a media report said.
The girls were abducted from Bakune village of Achham district recently, it said. Maoists also kidnapped Chet Bahadur Bhattarai, the deputy mayor of Bharatpur municipality in central Terai. His condition is still not known, the Himalayan Times report said. Meanwhile, the Royal Nepalese Army has formed a high-ranking team to probe the killing of three boys by security forces while they were raising funds on a highway in Chitawan district to celebrate Mahashivaratri. The security forces had shot them dead, suspecting them to be Maoists. Bureau Report
