Alwar, Sept 22: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president, Mulayam Sing Yadav today ruled out any front with the Congress for this year end's assembly polls and said his party would strive for a third front against Congress and the BJP. "We welcome the support extended to us by congress in Uttar Pradesh. But we take support and extend back our support on basis of issues. There has been no (no) joint front with the Congress," Yadav told reporters here.

He was asked to explain SP's opposition to Congress in Rajasthan in coming assembly polls even after receiving support from it in Uttar Pradesh.

Yadav said that local unit of his party had been authorised to interact with like-minded parties in Rajasthan to develop their front. Party general secretary, Amar Singh will be the overall in-charge of such parleys, he said.
Talking about Ayodhya tangle he said, “BJP raised the temple issue whenever Mulayam Singh comes into power. UP is suffering from lot of problems including floods which should get immediate attention of all. Let us build Uttar Pradesh. A temple would come up only if UP is constructed first."

Regarding charges on BSP leader and former UP chief minister Mayawati, Yadav said, “We shall honour court directives and would not (not) wage any vendetta against her”.
