London, June 05: India and Pakistan should try and resolve the Kashmir issue bilaterally recognising the territorial integrity of India, Tony Baldry, MP, chairman of the Conservative Parliamentary Friends of India Business Committee has said. "I would hope India and Pakistan to come together to try and resolve the issue recognising the territorial integrity of India and maximum local autonomy to the people of Jammu and Kashmir," Baldry said here last night while answering questions at the inaugural dinner by the committee.
He asserted that it should be made very clear that terrorists could not achieve their goal through violence. Answering a question on difficulties faced by Indian businessmen in getting visas in New Delhi to travel to the UK, Baldry said the issue would be taken up with the British mission in Delhi when a delegation of the Conservative Parliamentary Friends of India Business Committee visits Delhi later this year. "When we go to Delhi, one of the issues that will taken up with the British mission is to speed up business visa for Indians intending to visit the UK. We will also take it up with the foreign and Commonwealth office," he said. Bureau Report
