New Delhi, Feb 02: A last minute equaliser by Jyoti Kullu enabled India split points with formidable China as two teams played a 1-1 draw in their second match while Malaysia recorded their first win beating Kazakhstan in the 5th Women's Asia Cup Hockey Tournament here today. China, who had beaten Kazakhstan in their last match yesterday, began today on a positive note storming the Indian defence. Indian players were just settling down when China attacked from both the flanks and the hosts witnessed some tense moments before they could breath easy. China came quite close to scoring and it took some brilliant performance from the defenders to thwart the attacks and prevent any early damage. Subsequently, Indian players were trying to spread their game which was initially confined to their territories.

Indian took their time and were relying more on counter attacks and it was well-contested in the first half even though china had an upper hand. Mamta, meanwhile, gave glimpses of her skill running through the Chinese defence and dodging four opponents on one occasion.
