Stockholm, Jan 23: Former ABBA singer Agnetha Faltskog is preparing to release her first album in 17 years, a covers collection scheduled to come out in the second quarter. The news that Faltskog had returned to the studio sparked intense courting by several interested record companies. The successful bidder was Warner Music Scandinavia, which has distributed all Faltskog's post-ABBA recordings. Her last album was 1987's "I Stand Alone."
The new album, titled "My Coloring Book," will be preceded by the single, "If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind," which was originally recorded by Cilla Black.
The title cut was written by John Kander and Fred Ebb and has been recorded by artists such as Brenda Lee, Sandy Stewart, Barbra Streisand and Dusty Springfield.
Faltskog co-produced the album with Anders Neglin and Dan Stromkvist.
