Patna, July 02: BJP state president Nand Kishore Yadav was today appointed convenor of NDA in Bihar. Yadav was chosen after consultations with all the three constituents of the alliance in Bihar -- BJP, Samata Party and JD (U), chairman of NDA's state unit and Union Railway Minister Nitish Kumar told reporters. BJP president Venkiah Naidu and JD (U) chief Sharad Yadav were also consulted before Yadav's nomination to the crucial post, which was lying vacant after Saryu Roy of BJP moved to Jharkhand after the bifurcation of the state, he said. A meeting of the NDA constituents would be called soon to chalk out fresh agitation programmes against the misrule of the Rabri Devi government in the state, Kumar added.
Yadav thanked Kumar for appointing him to the post and said he would work hard to fulfil the expectations of the people and the alliance. Bureau Report
