BJP has started preparations on a war footing for contesting the forthcoming West Bengal elections alone. It will field candidates from 210 of the 294 constituencies in the state. Kailashpati Mishra of the BJP, in-charge of West Bengal affairs, has made clear that the BJP had had enough of the Trinamool and would be going it alone in the forthcoming elections. It will now field its candidates from 210 of the 294 seats in the state. The dissident Trinamool leaders who have joined the BJP will also be accommodated.
The decision was taken at a late night meeting of the election committee of the party on Wednesday. It was also decided that the emphasis will now be more on chalking out a election strategy than arriving a compromise with Trinamool Congress. Bureau Report
