Chandigarh, Feb 09: The Haryana government has earmarked a sum of Rs 410 crore to be spent on health services in the state during the current financial year. It has also decided to organise at least ten health camps in each assembly constituency. This was disclosed by Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala after inaugurating a health camp at Jhajjar which was attended by a large gathering of people from the districts of Rohtak and Jhajjar. Lauding the role of the people of district Jhajjar especially in the progress and security of the nation he said that their contribution whether in the first or second world wars or the more recent Kargil war could not be forgotten. He added that the brave soldiers of Haryana had always been known for their valour on the front and for making the supreme sacrifice of their lives when it came to protecting the country's borders. During the health camp, the Chief Minister gave away 1500 sewing machines and 287 cycles to persons belonging to the scheduled caste families living below the poverty line. Ten physically challenged persons were also distributed tricycles with aid from the district Red Cross society. Bureau Report
