New Delhi, June 21: A day after former UP chief minister Kalyan Singh alleged that the Babri Masjid had been demolished under the direction of Vajpayee, Advani and other top Sangh Parivar leaders, All India Muslim Personnel Law Board (AIMPLB) today said it will move an application before the Liberhan Commission seeking Singh`s examination. "An application will be moved before the Liberhan Commission that Singh be called after the former UP Chief Minister has expressed his willingness for the same," AIMPLB senior leader and board`s counsel in the commission Maulana Usuf Mauchala told reporters after a meeting of the board members here.

The marathon meeting, officially called to discuss various issues including strategy to be followed in the Liberhan Commission to present the board`s case of the board and findings of the ASI excavations, also "informally" deliberated the recent statements given by Shankaracharya and Vajpayee.

"We will convey our reactions to these statements to the AIMPLB chairman in Lucknow tomorrow," Mauchala said. He, however, refused to comment on what were the reactions of the board members.
The board working committee is likely to meet here on July 6 to discuss Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati`s fresh proposals for the settlement of the vexed Ayodhya issue.

AIMPLB chairman Maulana Rabe Hasan Nadwi, who went through the two-page letter of the seer containing the proposals this evening, told reporters that he had convened the board`s working committee meeting which is likely to be held on July six to discuss it.

He declined to disclose the contents of the letter received yesterday and his opinion on it saying that it could affect the views of the 51 members of the working committee. Nadwi expressed the hope that a solution would be found to the Ayodhya issue.

The letter reportedly contains some suggestions discussed during a meeting the Seer had with Nadwi here recently. Nadwi had sought the proposals in writing so that he could discuss them with other members of the AIMPLB.
