Mumbai, Mar 12: Vijay Kumar bounced back into the reckoning on the back nine, notching eight-under 132 for a two-stroke lead on the penultimate day of the Rs. 7.5 lakh Hutchison-Essar Open Golf, at the par-70 Bombay Presidency Golf Club course.
The Lucknow golfer came up with six birdies on the last eight holes for a two-under 68, ahead of Kolkata's Yusuf Ali (six-under 134), Kanpur's Shiv Prakash (five-under 135).
Vijay's statemate Jumman occupies the fourth place at 136, followed by four-way tie for the fifth at 137 between Gaurav Ghei, Uttam Singh Mundy, Mukesh Kumar and Ranjit Singh.
