Hoshiarpur (Punjab), June 09: Five dreaded criminals escaped from Dasuya police station of the district last night, leading to the suspension of three police personnel who were on duty, police sources said today. The criminals, part of the notorious Kale Kachhewale gang, managed to escape with their handcuffs on. They were involved in several cases of murder and loot in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, the sources said.

Cases had been registered against an assistant sub-inspector, two constables and two home guards and they had been sent back to the police lines, they sources said.
