NY, Jan 17: Fresh off a hot-ticket co-headlining tour with Kiss, Aerosmith has confirmed a 2004 tour with support from fellow classic rock titans Cheap Trick. The trek will begin March 11 in Lubbock, Texas, and visit 40 cities before wrapping June 28 in Cleveland. Venues have yet to be announced. As previously reported Aerosmith will also headline the Super Bowl XXXVIII pre-game show on Feb. 1 at Houston's Reliant Stadium.
This spring, Aerosmith will release its next Columbia studio album, the blues-inspired "Honkin' on Bobo."
As guitarist Joe Perry told Billboard.com last year, among the cuts expected to appear are covers of Muddy Waters' "I'm Ready," Little Walter's "Temperature" and Mississippi Fred McDowell's "You Gotta Move," as well as a handful of originals.

The group's outing with Kiss did strong business at the box office last year, pulling in just under $50 million in 43 shows reported to Billboard. Touring on its own in 2002, Aerosmith took in $39 million.
Here are Aerosmith/Cheap Trick tour dates:
