Bangalore, Oct 28: Despite prohibitory orders, former Prime Minister H D Devegowda yesterday said he would lead a march with a group of his party leaders tomorrow to Chief Minister S M Krishna's residence to protest alleged "collapse" of law and order in his home district of Hassan.
Speaking to reporters here, he charged that even after his writing four letters to Krishna quoting instances of police atrocities on his party workers and "innocent people", the "minimum action" required had not been taken to set things right.
"We will go ahead with our protest peacefully according to law. Let them take whatever steps they want to and we will abide by it", Gowda who revised his earlier plan to stage a dharna alone in front of Krishna's residence yesterday, said.
Gowda said he would take five to 10 of his state unit party leaders to krishna's residence. "We will not be cowed down", he said, as police Sunday clamped prohibitory orders within one km radius of Chief Minister's residence from October 26 to 28.
He blamed officials for "dereliction of duty" in not taking prompt action to end the alleged atrocities.

Accusing the Krishna government of providing a "low level administration", Gowda said district unit presidents of his party would meet here on October 29, to "review" the law and order situation elsewhere in the state and decide on their next course of action.
