The Wimbledon final rematch between Venus Williams and Justine Henin was postponed because of rain on Thursday in the 565,000 hardcourt tournament.
Williams and Henin will meet on Friday with the winner advancing to a semi-final match against second seed Jennifer Capriati in the final tune-up to next week's US Open in New York.
Capriati moved into the semi-finals after a 6-4 6-3 win over Jelena Dokic of Yugoslavia and fourth seed Kim Clijsters of Belgium routed seventh seed Nathalie Tauziat of France, 6-2 6-2, in a quarter-final contest.
Williams, 21, overwhelmed Henin in the final set to defend her Wimbledon crown with a 6-1 3-6 6-0 victory and become the fourth woman in the open era to win consecutive Wimbledon titles.
