New Delhi, Dec 15: As the factional wrangling in Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in Punjab continued, the dissidents headed by agriculture minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal were understood to be planning a "dramatic" step to mount pressure on the high command for removal of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. Sources in Bhattal camp, said the action could include resignation by some of the ministers.

The dissidents have given time till tomorrow morning to the party high command to concede their demand for leadership change. Meanwhile, both the sides waited for a word from the high command even as closed-door parleys between senior leaders of the Congress Pradesh Congress Committee continued to end the crisis.

Amarinder and Bhattal are staying put here with some of their loyalist MLAs and so is PCC president H S Hanspal.
