Lucknow, Dec 09: In a bid to make its December 11 'Savdhan Rally' in the Congress citadel of Amethi successful, the BSP was leaving no stone unturned and has directed its office bearers to ensure a good turn out at the rally. Besides, a host of BSP ministers were also camping in Amethi, the parliamentary constituency of AICC president Sonia Gandhi, to make the rally a success, party sources here told a news agency. The rally was being perceived here as the BSP's reply to Priyanka Gandhi's recent taking of cudgels on behalf of a Dalit, whose house was allegedly demolished by some members of an influential community at Punnpur village in the constituency, forcing the police to register an fir in this regard.
Priyanka Gandhi had threatened to rebuild the house of the Dalit through 'Shramdan' with the help of congress workers and local people.
The issue hogged media limelight after the administration promulagated prohibitory orders in the village and deployed security personnel in strength around the Munshiganj guest house where Priyanka Gandhi was staying in a bid to prevent her from reaching the concerned village.

Priyanka's announcement to rebuild the Dalit's house was opposed by the influential local BJP MLA, Amita Singh, the wife of former Union Minister Sanjai Singh.
