Jabalpur, Oct 29: Madhya Pradesh Jeeti Jitai Politics (JJP), a political outfit of eunuchs, said today it planned to give a tough fight to both the ruling Congress and BJP in the forthcoming assembly polls but it would support Congress in case of a hung assembly. The vice-president of JJP, Heera Bai, who is a municipal corporator, told newspersons here that the state would witness a hung assembly after the December 01 polls and added that JJP would, in that case, support ruling Congress to form the government as it had done a lot for the development of the state.
Unemployment would be the main poll plank of her party, Heera Bai said, and added the party would field 45 candidates.
"We are more close to the people as we meet them almost daily. We know the pulse of the rich as well as the poor strata of the society as unemployment is an eternal problem of eunuchs, therefore worries of the unemployed youth could be better understood by us".
Of the 45 candidates, four - Heerabai, Gargara Bai, Vimla Bai and Khilona Bai would contest from Jabalpur Central, Jabalpur Cantonment, Jabalpur West and Jabalpur East (reserved) assembly seats respectively, she said
The announcement of the remaining forty-one candidates would be made soon, she added.
Heerabai said a national convention of eunuchs would be held on December 04, to be attended by about 25,000 eunuchs from various parts of the country.
