New Delhi, Dec 04: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and later declared that he would not contest any election to assembly or Lok Sabha for the next ten years. "I came here to explain to her about the poll outcome in the state. A comprehensive review would be made later but I requested the party chief to fix a date for the meeting of the CLP to elect its leader," he said.
To a volley of questions, he reiterated his earlier statement that he would not contest any polls be it assembly or Lok Sabha for the next ten years.
Those present at the meeting included party general secretary in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Ambika Soni, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ahmed Patel, political secretary to the party chief. Bureau Report
