UK, Oct 25: Se Ri Pak shot a seven-under-par 65 to take a three-stroke lead after the first round of LPGA's inaugural CJ Nine Bridges Classic. Playing on home territory, she had eight birdies and one bogey to hold off Americans Kristie Kirr and Jackie Gallagher-Smith, who carded 68s. The event, postponed last year after the 11 September attacks, is taking place at the Nine Bridges Golf Club on the South Korean resort island of Jeju.
Pak, who played with Lorie Kane and tournament favourite Annika Sorenstam, said: "I think playing with Annika was a big reason that I did so well.
"Because she is such a good player, I'm always really focussed and nervous when I play with her."
