Hyderabad, Sept 27: Thirteen naxalites, including a former District Committee Member (DCM), an area committee secretary, a commander and four women, surrendered in the presence of Director General of Police (DGP) P Ramulu here today. The 10 of the naxals who surrendered belong to People's War Group (PWG), two to CPI-ML and one belongs to Janasakthi Veerana group.
Ambala Madanaiah alias Ravi (32) who surrendered is a former DCM, one of the top naxals, of Warangal district who was involved in several heinous offences including six murders, five blasts, attacks on police and civilians target. He carried a reward of Rs three lakh on his head, the DGP said. The other surrendered naxals include Pesaru Ramesh alias Arjun PWG area committee secretary of Sircilla area in Karimnagar district and Durgam Swamy alias Vikas, Commander of Sirpur Lga in Adilabad district. The women naxals were K Sukanya alias Manjula (25), Shaganti Suguna Kumari alias Kavith (20), Pattepu Laxmi alias Jyothi (20) and Jejjari Nagamani alias Chinnakka (15).
