Kannur, Mar 22: Strongly condemning the police 'repression' on left party leaders during the recent LDF march to offices of superintendent of police across Kerala, the state unit of the cpi-m today said the party will intensify its agitational programmes against the government for launching an "unprecedented" attack on the demonstrators. "Opposition parties will intensify its agitation against the state government in the days to come," CPI-M state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan told reporters here.
The LDF cannot extend anymore support to the state government which has made the entire police "an inhuman force" acting against its own people, he said.
The LDF activists had taken out the march, seeking a judicial probe into the Muthanga incidents.
Reiterating his suggestion that the National Human Rights Commission's rejection of the report submitted by the state government on Muthanga incidents was a severe setback to the Chief Minister, Vijayan said the chief minister had lost the moral authority to remain in the post.
Stating that the tribals will intensify their agitation for an honourable rehabilitation under adivasi Kshema Samity, Vijayan alleged that the C K Jan Badivasi Dalit Gotra Munnani was just an outfit sponsored by the ruling United Democratic Front.
