Jammu, June 10: Senior human rights activist and former MP Balraj Puri today walked out of a scheduled meeting with Centre's interlocutor on Jammu and Kashmir, N N Vohra, due to alleged police misbehaviour. Puri, the chairman of the state unit of people's union for civil liberties, was alleged pushed and roughed up at the gate by police when he was on his way to meet Vohra at the guest house here.
Puri said police had misbehaved with him but added that he later met Vohra when the latter called him up and requested a meeting.
For over 50 years, Puri has served as a journalist, politician and human rights activist in the state.
