Balaghat, June 22: outlawed naxalites abducted a businessman and blew up his house with explosives after looting cash and valuables worth Rs three lakh in Balaghat district, police said today. The Superintendent of Police Jaydeep Prasad said here that about 15 armed naxalites last night entered Kinhin village in the district and abducted a businessman Devilal Palte and his tenants. The ultras tied them and looted cash and valuables worth Rs three lakh, Prasad said, adding the naxals also blew up Palte's house and burnt tractor and a motorcycle before making their escape. Prasad said the ultras had earlier threatened Palte to leave the village as he was a moneylender.
The police has launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprits, he added. Bureau Report
