New Delhi, Jan 08: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama today appealed to Hindu and Muslim communities to adopt "a mature, farsighted and open-minded" approach to resolve the Ayodhya temple-mosque dispute. "Politicisation only adds to its complexity and makes it more difficult to find enduring, amicable and widely accepted solution,” the Dalai Lama said in a statement which was released at a press conference here by another spiritual leader S N Goenka.

"We also appeal to the government to help the two communities find a solution as a court verdict will give an impression that one side lost and another side won," Goenka said while releasing the statement.
The appeal comes close on the heels of the Kanchi Shankracharaya making efforts to resolve the historical-cum- religious tangle.
