Jamshedpur, Oct 13: Railway Minister Nitish Kumar today flagged off the Tata-Ranchi Jansatabdi Express at the Tatanagar station here.

Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said the railways proposed to introduce 16 Jansatabdi Express in the country and this was the 11th in the series. The minister, who arrived here in a special train after inaugurating two trains in Bhubaneswar today, said that the specially designed coaches of the train were of international standard. They are likely to keep sound, dust as well as temperature to the minimum.

Admitting that the fare in the new train between the industrial city and the state capital of Jharkhand could not be afforded by the poorer section of society, Kumar announced a mainline electrical multiple unit train between Tata and Ranchi, would soon be introduced for them. Bureau Report
