Interpol issues Red Corner notice against 11 Maoist leaders
Kathmandu, Nov 28: Interpol has issued a red corner notice against 11 Maoist leaders including Maoist president Pushpakamal Dahal alias `Prachanda`, police sources said today.

The others include the rebel chief negotiator in the peace talks Baburam Bhattarai and Maoist spokesman Krishna Bahadur Mahara, according to Interpol's Nepal office.
Nepal has forwarded the names of the 11 high level leaders of CPN-Maoist, an underground party to issue the Red Corner notice, the sources said.
The Interpol has also issued the red corner notice against Chandraprakash Gajurel, who is currently detained in India for traveling with false travel documents.

The Red Corner Notice was withdrawn during the tenure of Lokendra Bahadur Chand government when the Maoists announced cease-fire on January this year.
After the Maoists unilaterally broke cease-fire and peace talks in late August the present government termed the rebels as terrorists.
