New Delhi: Essel group chairman-- Dr Subhash Chandra got elected to the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Parliament, as an independent candidate from Haryana.
The noted philanthropist was soon congratulated by Bollywood fraternity for his win.
Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and ace director Madhur Bhandarkar took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate Chandra.
The state's ruling BJP has backed Dr Chandra who garnered a total of 29 votes.
