Mumbai, July 18: Actor Vivek Oberoi, who underwent an operation for a leg fracture yesterday, has been shifted to the intensive care unit of Hinduja Hospital here after he complained of pain in his foot late last night. Dr Sanjay Agarwala, the Orthopaedic surgeon who performed operation on Vivek, today said the actor had been shifted to the ICU to keep him away from the steady flow of visitors and to ensure he was more comfortable. "He has been isolated and kept in the ICU to make him more comfortable and to keep him under medical observation. There is no serious concern regarding his health," Agarwala told a news agency. "Vivek is progressing well. Vivek has been cracking jokes and is in high spirits, doing fine. We expect him to stand up in a day or two with the help of crutches," he said.

Pointing out that the actor suffered pain, he said it decreased after he was put on pain killers.

The 28-year-old actor had sustained a series of fracture on his left foot after a motorbike, which skidded on a bridge, rammed onto him during the shooting of a film at Kolkata.

The actor might be out of action for nearly three months owing to the injury. Bureau Report
