Islamabad, Dec 09: Pakistan today condemned the bombing of four cinemas in northern Bangladesh that killed at least 17 people, calling them terrorist attacks.
"The government of Pakistan strongly condemns the premeditated acts of terrorism resulting in death and injury to scores of individuals in the Bangladeshi city of Mymensingh," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

No one has claimed responsibility for the Saturday night blasts, which Bangladesh's home minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury said was "pre-planned sabotage and conspiracy" against the nation.
Bangladesh was part of Pakistan until a bloody 1971 independence war.
