Dhaka, Apr 06: Protests against the US-led attack on Iraq continued unabated in Bangladesh with nearly ten thousand war veterans signing up to fight in Baghdad. The chairman of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad (BMS) Ahad Chowdhury told an anti-war rally here yesterday that some 10,000 of its members have decided to go to Iraq to fight guerilla war alongside Iraqis against the allied forces.
BMS is a body of war veterans and most of them are guerilla fighters.
"These veterans will fight against the US-invaders to liberate Iraq," said a news agency report and added that BMS planned to send voluntary soldiers to fight the coalition troops.

The announcement by chief of BMS came after days of similar sentiments echoed by individuals and organisations to go take part in the war to save Islam and humanity.

Protestors are also boycotting products made by UK and USA with the symbolic burning of some goods in different places, reports said.
Bangladesh has also expressed its concern at civilian casualties of the war and demanded an end to it expeditiously to bring an end to further loss of life and property.

Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan urged the concerned parties to come forward to mitigate the sufferings of the innocent civilian population of Iraq.
