New Delhi, Feb 22: At least 150 jhuggi clusters were destroyed in a major fire that broke out in the early hours today in Laxminagar in South Delhi, officials said. There were no casualties, fire service sources said.
The fire broke out at around 0200 hours. Twelve fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze. The situation was brought under control in 45 minutes, sources said.
One fire service officer got minor injuries during the control operations.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known, sources said.
