Japan to send aid to flood-hit Pakistan
Tokyo, Aug 05: Japan will send 19.5 million yen (163,000 dollars) worth of emergency aid in tents, water purification kits, generators and other supplies to flood-hit Pakistan, the foreign ministry said today.

At least one million people in southern Pakistan have been left marooned, homeless and facing disease or snakebites
as a result of floods caused by the worst monsoon rains in a
decade, local officials said.
