The indefinite strike by about 1.23 lakh Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) employees, entered the third day Thursday, causing inconvenience to commuters in Andhra Pradesh.
However, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had requested the officials of the South Central Railway to run special trains to help passengers stranded at various places in the state due to the strike, according to sources.
The sources said that a few over-crowded buses were seen plying on important routes in the city with police escort. Auto drivers and other private transport operators had a field day.
School and junior college children were spared the trouble today as schools and colleges were closed for the dushera vacation, the sources added. Bureau Report
