Kolkata, May 04: Giving a jolt to Congress aspirations, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddadeb Bhattacharya today supported the idea of a Third Front at the Centre. He said that the Left Front would neither align with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nor the Congress at the Centre. Buddhadeb said that people are tired of unstable governments and desire economic and political stability in the country. In this context, he reiterated that Left Front would prefer seeing a Third Front government at the Centre, whose priority would be to provide stability. West Bengal is going for polls in the last leg of Lok Sabha elections on May 10.
Interestingly a few days back, veteran Communist leader Jyoti Basu said he was open to supporting Congress-led government with Sonia Gandhi as the prime minister.
