Defence Minister George Fernandes on Saturday held Pakistani intelligence agency ISI responsible for the terrorist attack on Parliament. Fernandes told newspersons here that the nation was, however, fully prepared to deal with Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
He said the country would take whatever action necessary to fight terrorism.
Denying that the nation was going soft on terrorism, he said over 1800 terrorists have been killed this year, the largest figure since terrorist activities started in Jammu and Kashmir. Fernandes said India had sufficient evidence to prove that Pakistan-based terrorists of Lashker-e-Toiba were the people who enacted the terrorist attack on Parliament on Thursday.
He said the ISI was, however, the brain behind the attack, adding that Pakistan would never accept that its sponsored terrorists were behind it.
However, India had solid proof to link the neighouring country with the ''crime''.
