Nagpur, Apr 14: A Delhi Police team has launched a massive search operation here to nab key accused Ranjit Verma for his alleged involvement in the CBSE paper leak in the capital on Saturday. The crime branch sleuths from Delhi yesterday broke open the room of Vikas Varma and Ranjit Varma at the government medical college boys hostel here and have seized from it some incriminating documents and diaries containing some telephone numbers, police sources said today.

Vikas and his brother Rakesh were arrested in the same case on Saturday at New Delhi, police said adding, Vikas and Ranjit were room mates in the hostel here. After learning about the arrests of his room mate Vikas, Ranjit ran away from the hostel and is still at large, police added.

The Delhi Police have got some vital clues which may lead to some more arrests, they added.

The team has sought assistance from dean, Government Medical College over background and academic records of both Vikas and Ranjit Varma. The prestigious CBSE's all india pre-medical examination scheduled for April 11 was cancelled following leakage of the question papers after the arrest of Rakesh Verma and Vikas Verma, MBBS students of Nagpur.

Both were nabbed while they were allegedly selling the question papers of the exam.
