Navy to take over reins of Integrated Defence Staff

In other major appointments, Vice Admiral Arun Prakash,
currently Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval
Command, has been made new Vice Chief of Naval Staff to
replace Vice Admiral Joshn de Silva, who retired on September
30, Defence Ministry announced today.
Vice Admiral O P Bansal, currently Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the country's only tri-service command at Andaman, has been appointed Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command.
Vice Admiral Madanjeet Singh has been shifted from the Southern Naval Command and will take over as the new Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command. Bureau Report
