New Delhi, Aug 09: NIS Sparta Ltd, a training organisation has joined hands with Hindustan Latex Ltd for the 'Sukhi Sansaar Paryojana' project.

The project aims at increasing the availability of contraceptives in remote villages, which in turn would increase the usage of these measures for preventive action on AIDS and other diseases.

According to Sanjeev Duggal, President NIS Sparta, "AIDS is globally accepted as a medical and a societal problem. India is one of the affected countries. It's an incurable disease and by taking preventive measures and spreading awareness about this deadly disease, we can reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS."

He further added, "The partnership of NIS and HLL would be instrumental in spreading awareness and sensitising people to AIDS."

As a result of the tie-up, training in social marketing, communication techniques and rural marketing will be offered to around 160 project staff working in the rural areas of UP. Bureau Report
